Join the Trisomy X Community in Salem, MA for fun and fellowship!

We still have room for more Trisomy X individuals to join! The retreat officially kicks off with the Meet & Greet beginning at 10am on Saturday, May 4th!

Saturday, May 4

*UPDATE*

Saturday's events are now open to all ages! Individuals with Trisomy X of any age are welcome to take part in any of Saturday's activities.*

*Additional cost for the Peabody Essex Museum Tour and dinner at The Village Tavern still apply. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

10am-1pm

Meet and Greet at the YMCA (Parents are welcome to join). Light snacks will be provided.

1pm-2:30pm

Time to Explore Salem, MA. Bring your walking shoes and wear layers. Salem is breezy as it's on the water. A choice of optional activities will be provided soon.

2:30pm-4:30pm

Peabody Essex Museum Tour

Please register for this event separately by purchasing a ticket. We need 10 people to sign up for this event to receive the special group rate of $10 per person.

Discover outstanding artistic and cultural creativity from around the world. As the oldest continuously operating museum in the country, PEM is home to objects from around the globe that open our eyes to the multilayered and interconnected world of creative expression. Visit a selection of powerful works unique to PEM and explore the history of this one-of-a-kind museum.

Museum Visit Schedule

  • 2:30pm: Arrival
  • 2:30pm-3:30pm: Guided Highlights of PEM
  • 3:30pm-4:30pm: Self-guided Museum Exploration
  • ~4:30pm: Depart when ready

5pm-8pm

Saturday night's dinner on May 4th will be held at The Village Tavern in Salem as a private event. Individuals with Trisomy X and their families are encouraged to attend!! Restaurant website: villagetavernsalem.com

Meal tickets are $45 and can be purchased on this page. (This is done in the same way as registration. Select the number of meal tickets you want, and then click/tap the "Register" button)

Included in this price are non-alcoholic drinks, a variety of appetizers, and dessert. A private cash bar will be available for additional purchases. The private space includes pool tables and an attached Game Room that features 2 dart alleys and 10 entertainment / amusement devices.

Sunday, May 5

11am-1pm

Free Creative Art Workshop, hosted by Karen Sullivan. She creates "art-making for growth, healing, and joy." This opportunity is completely paid through all the generous donors from our Fundraiser!! Thank you again for allowing such an awesome experience to occur during our first retreat!! This event is for any individual with Trisomy X aged 16+.

Please register for this event separately by "purchasing" a free ticket so we know how many people plan to attend the workshop.

The retreat will conclude after the art activity. Those who are still in town are free to join us for lunch. Lunch will be optional and casual. Lunch will be purchased day of by the individuals/families.
