Last spring Jack was diagnosed with 48, xxxy. This is a chromosome abnormality that affects approximately 1:50,000 males. We have seen many specialists, done a lot of research and have had evaluations done to learn more about this chromosome disorder and Jack. Every day we learn something new about Jack but being that this is a rare diagnosis there is limited information out there. I have found a support group on Facebook that has been helpful during this journey.
I want to attend the 2019 AXYS Family Conference in Atlanta, GA from June 28 - 30th. They are putting together seminars that focus on 48, xxxy.
This conference provides an opportunity for me to hear up to date information from medical professionals and leading researchers on x & y variations as well as meeting others in the x & y community from across the globe. This 2-day event will help me to learn more about Jack and how we can better support him.
Once I reach my fundraising goal, AXYS will waive my registration fee and cover part of my hotel costs. All donations go directly to AXYS, which is a registered 501(c)(3) charity. Please consider supporting me by making a donation so I can attend this amazing event. Thank you!
